Environment/Disease Monitoring
The requirement for design and deployment of systems for defense and security has formed a useful base for transition of capability into the environmental and medical sectors. While the threat is not so much from enemy forces or terrorist actors, the problems of toxic environmental releases and nature’s own arsenal of diseases present the same challenges to those responsible for maintaining and monitoring safety and health.
Dycor has been active in the transition of military and security capability to medical and environmental requirements. Equipment and technology developed for military deployment has been readily modified for civilian applications, often with cost savings in material and requirements for ruggedization. Products listed here are in many ways the same as those offered to our defense and security clients – with the important difference being our expertise in modifying their concepts of operation and deployment to better fit public health and environmental applications.
Dycor also carries a line of research tools for the environmental and medical researcher, which were also derived from equipment developed and used in the field.
